About Me
From a very early age, I had an interest in railways from my first visit... that I can remember was Nene Valley Railway near Peterborough, to the Bluebell Railway in Sussex to my local railway the Isle of Wight Steam railway.
Since then being given a train set by Hornby when I was 7, my passion for the hobby grew.. as did that small train set. Attending model railway exhibitions, toy train and collectors fairs I started to buy second hand and grow a small collection, which as I got a bit older that train set became based on real places, from my local line back then the Chinnor & Princes Risborough railway, to when I returned to the hobby in 2005 building a layout seen on most of the website, the Bluebell Railway's Horsted Keynes station.
This has featured in a number of magazines, and articles over the years!
These days unfortunately the layout was dismantled in 2018 soon after it's last magazine article, will it return? I hope so... I have plans in mind to re-build Horsted Keynes and also add more scenic sections plus maybe Sheffield Park... I am currently planning and looking for a layout baseboard builder to assist with design.
Since 2019 I run a small business 3D Printing NEM pockets for older rolling stock plus additional body shells and detailing parts.
